Drug Bust in Poplarville Leads to Multiple Arrests

On Tuesday, June 4, the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department executed an arrest warrant at 533 Hilt Fornea Road, Poplarville, MS, leading to the arrest of 34-year-old Charles Atkinson-Seal, for failure to appear in Circuit Court. Upon arrival, investigators also encountered 36-year-old Joshua Pierce-Seal, 40-year-old Michael Landreaux, 35-year-old and Ashley Sumrall.

Investigators developed probable cause to get a search warrant for the property. The search revealed a significant quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, Psilocybin mushrooms, and various drug paraphernalia.

The arrests resulted in the following charges:

  • Charles Atkinson-Seal: Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and the outstanding bench warrant.
  • Joshua Pierce-Seal: Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute Psilocybin mushrooms, and possession of paraphernalia.
  • Ashley Sumrall: Possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

All subjects were taken into custody and face multiple charges related to drug distribution and possession.
