Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion in the Pratts community that took place early on the morning of September 21.

According to Sheriff Jim H. Johnson, at approximately 7:00 a.m., deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home in the Pratts community following a report of a burglary and home invasion.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that two men, later identified as Frankie Williams and Michael Morrison, had forced their way into the home by kicking in the front door.

The suspects threatened the 66-year-old disabled victim, demanding cash, electronic devices, and personal items, including debit and credit cards. They warned the victim that they would assault him if he failed to comply. Several electronic items, U.S. currency, and debit/credit cards were stolen during the burglary.

Investigators were able to trace the use of the stolen debit and credit cards at various businesses in Fulton, MS, which helped lead to the identification of the suspects. Warrants for their arrest were subsequently issued.

31-year-old Frankie Williams, was apprehended in Fulton and transported to the Lee County Adult Jail. 38-year-old Michael Morrison, was apprehended in Tishomingo County and is awaiting extradition to Lee County. Both men face charges of Burglary/Home Invasion.

Williams’ bond has been set at $50,000, while Morrison’s bond is yet to be determined. Their cases will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury in 2025.

Due to the victim’s age and disability, Mississippi state law allows for enhanced penalties, potentially doubling the incarceration time if the suspects are convicted.

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected as the case progresses through the legal system.
