The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a blanket drive.

They are collecting new blankets to hand out at assisted living and rehab facilities.

Blankets can be purchased at local retailers such as Walmart, Walgreens, etc. for about $5 each.

You can drop off donations at the Sheriff’s Department located at 3091 Industrial Drive West in Hernando, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The deadline for donations is December 14th.
