On June 9th, around 6:00 pm, an off-duty officer reported his vehicle had been burglarized in the parking lot of the police department.
Corinth PD soon received a call on Levee road about a male trespassing.
When officers arrived, they found Demarkquez Williams in a shop wearing the officer’s shoes. Williams also had other personal property of the officer’s.
A witness stated Williams showed him a police badge and told him he was on official police business.
Williams was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Vehicle, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, & Impersonating a Police Officer (misd).
The felony cases will be presented to an Alcorn County Grand Jury and the Misdemeanor will be handled in Corinth Municipal Court.
