A man who was assaulted last week has died, and his alleged attacker now faces upgraded charges.
The Jackson Police Department was called to an aggravated assault that occurred in the 300 block of Northside Drive last Tuesday. They found that Dennis Watson had been assaulted. He was transported to UMC in critical condition.
The suspect, Jeremy Ware, was arrested on the scene and charged with aggravated assault.
Tragically, on Monday the victim passed away from his injuries. The charge against Jeremy Ware has been upgraded to Capital Murder.
