Jackson State University will be turning up the heat this Saturday as renowned comedians, close friends, and barbecue enthusiasts Cedric The Entertainer and Anthony Anderson bring their star power to campus. The duo is stopping by JSU to promote their AC Barbeque brand, which launched earlier this year at Jackson State in collaboration with SodexoMagic, a joint venture between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc.

What to Expect: JSU Student Meet & Greet: Cedric and Anthony will get up close and personal with students, Greek life, and the campus community.

Tiger Pride on Display: The two powerhouse comedians will catch the ultimate JSU Football experience as the JSU Tigers take on the Southern Jaguars at 6 p.m. inside Veterans Memorial Stadium.

 “We are excited to welcome Cedric and Anthony to our campus to experience the hospitable JSU culture firsthand,” said Kamesha Hill, director of Auxiliary Enterprises at JSU. “AC Barbeque is a part of our campus dining offerings, thus making it a part of the JSU brand. It makes sense that they come immerse themselves in all that we offer as a premiere HBCU. We look forward to showing them why we fondly refer to Jackson State University as ‘Thee I Love.'”

AC Barbeque is part of a larger partnership between Virtual Dining Concepts and SodexoMagic, which has brought new dining options to JSU. Virtual Dining Concepts is a creator of virtual restaurant brands, designed to increase revenue for independent kitchens. With delivery-only infrastructure, an exclusive online platform, and third-party delivery services, AC Barbeque brings delicious, culture-rich food to the JSU community.

The AC Barbeque menu includes pulled pork and beef brisket sandwiches and burritos, along with chicken tenders, all topped with their signature sauces and spices. Students have access to these items through campus dining services alongside other Virtual Dining Concepts brands.
