On Sunday, June 16, at around 6:00 p.m., deputies from the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department were called to the Cross located on County Road 7000 near Highway 45 for a welfare check on a male subject.
Deputy Josh Walden found 27-year-old Bryson Markel Miller of Booneville, near the cross consuming an intoxicating beverage. During the encounter, Miller was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
Miller was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Judge Ray Hall set Miller’s bond at $5,000. The case will be presented to a Prentiss County Grand Jury by North Mississippi Narcotics Unit Agent Taylor Walker.
