On Wednesday morning at 6:15 a.m., the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department was notified through the 911 dispatch, that a motorist had spotted what they believed to be a body on the west side of King Road in the 8200 block.
Deputies were dispatched and they found a deceased black male on the side of the road.
Investigators were called out as well as coroner Stella McMahan.
The Sheriff’s Office is currently working on this as a death investigation.
The identity of the person has not yet been released.
