According to WLOX, Gulfport police identified the body of a person found in a military locker in the wall of a home.

The body was first discovered Thursday afternoon, according to police.

WLOX reports that authorities were called to 16th Avenue and 22nd Street Thursday about a missing person. Investigators ended up discovering a body inside of a large wooden container in the wall of the home.

They are now investigating this “suspicious death”.

WLOX said that Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified that person as 42-year-old John Gaither from Gulfport.

Sergeant Jason Ducre with Gulfport Police confirms one person has been arrested in connection with the case.

An autopsy is being done on the body and police should have more answers Monday.
