According to WLOX, a body discovered in the water on Saturday morning has been identified as 37-year-old John Taylor, a Biloxi resident, according to Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer.

Officials report that Taylor’s body was found near White Avenue, across from the White House Hotel. WLOX reports that while police do not suspect foul play at this time, the case is being investigated as a possible drowning.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding Taylor’s death.
