Law enforcement agencies are actively searching for Ryan Scott Burks, a 39-year-old state inmate who escaped from the Carroll County Correctional Facility earlier today.
Burks is serving a 30-year sentence for sexual battery and residential burglary in Tippah County, having been sentenced on January 17, 2006.
Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any information regarding his whereabouts.
