Ashley McBryde, Rhett Akins to headline Pearl Day 2024

Mark your calendars and join us for an exhilarating celebration as the Pearl Day Concert returns to Trustmark Park on Saturday, April 27! Presented by The City of Pearl, this annual event promises an evening filled with incredible live music.

The Pearl Day Concert has become a beloved tradition in our community. This year, we are thrilled to announce that our headlining performer is none other than the sensational country artist, Ashley McBryde.

Gates open at 6:00 PM, with special guest Rhett Akins set to perform at 7:00 PM. McBryde takes the stage at 8:45 PM, promising an electrifying performance that fans won’t want to miss.

Ashley McBryde is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter known for her powerhouse vocals and authentic storytelling. With a career that has seen her rise from playing country tunes in biker bars to gracing the stages of some of the world’s biggest music festivals, McBryde’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.

McBryde’s remarkable talent and dedication to her craft have earned her widespread acclaim and numerous accolades. She burst onto the scene with her major label debut album, “Girl Going Nowhere,” which charmed critics and audiences alike, earning her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album.

Notably, she also clinched the title of New Artist of the Year at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards and received two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for her hit “Girl Goin’ Nowhere”.

Since then, she has continued to captivate listeners with her soul-stirring music and electrifying performances, earning accolades such as the ACM New Female Artist and CMT Breakout Artist awards. She was back in the spotlight in the 65th GRAMMY Awards for her album, “Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville,” which was nominated for Best Country Album.

Ashley’s latest album, ‘The Devil I Know’ is available now, featuring lead single “Light On In The Kitchen.” McBryde recently announced new shows through Summer 2024 with The Devil I Know Tour Presented by Ariat.

Rhett Akins is a successful solo artist who has also written chart-toppers for other artists such as Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Dustin Lynch, John Pardi, Parker McCollum, and Thomas Rhett. He has had 35 No. 1 singles so far, and the first No. 1 hit he recorded was the memorable “That Ain’t My Truck.” Later, his song “Honey Bee” would become the highest selling digital debut by a country male solo artist.

Akins was named the No. 4 Billboard Country Songwriter in 2010. The following year, he was BMI’s Songwriter of the Year, an honor he repeated in 2014. That was just the beginning for Rhett, who has gone on to win the CMA Triple Play award a total of eight times. In April 2018, he was named Songwriter of the Year and in September 2019 named the first Songwriter of the Decade by the Academy of Country Music. In November 2021, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
