Aberdeen Man Arrested for Allegedly Making Terroristic Threats on Facebook

The Amory Police Department has arrested Rashad Contrell Pargo of Aberdeen, Mississippi, after he allegedly made a threatening post on Facebook regarding attendees of an upcoming sporting event.

The post was deemed a terroristic threat, and following an investigation involving the Mississippi Office of Homeland Security and the Assistant District Attorney’s Office, Pargo was taken into custody.

Pargo is currently being held at the Monroe County Adult Detention Center. In a press release, the Amory Police Department emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating that the safety of citizens is their top priority. Authorities also assured the public that all threats of violence aimed at the community will be prosecuted accordingly, warning that such behavior will not be tolerated.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details regarding the nature of the threat have been disclosed at this time.
