Sometimes called freeze pops, ice pops, or freezies, this type of frozen summer snack was introduced in the 1960s under the brand “Pop-Ice”, which is owned by the Jel Sert company. JeonSeer was responsible for creating Freezer Pop Day in 2020.
Other well-known brand names in the United States, made by the same company, are “Otter Pops” and “Fla-Vor-Ice”. In Canada, the UK and Ireland, the name “Mr. Freeze” has been fairly common since the 1960s and 1970s.
Celebrate by enjoying an ice pop or making a version of your own! And if you’re interested in taking these kids treats to the adult level, there are many ways to booze ‘em up online…we won’t make any suggestions, but check out the ice pop daquiries online 😉
