According to officials, Capitol police arrested two teenagers this morning.
Around 6:30 a.m. this morning, a subject was carjacked at gunpoint near Taylor Road in Jackson.
At approximately 8:05 a.m., Capitol Police officers noticed the stolen vehicle traveling on Bailey Avenue and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
The drivers of the stolen vehicle led officers of a brief pursuit and lost control of the vehicle and wrecked near Northside Drive.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle then fled the scene on foot.
After a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested both subjects without incident. The driver and passenger are juveniles and will be charged with armed carjacking.
