On June 22, officers with the Tupelo Police Department were dispatched to a local gas station.
An employee said that her former boyfriend came into where she worked and started a fight.
During the altercation the victim stated that the suspect grabbed her by the neck and choked her.
After further investigation, 32-year-old Malcolm T. Crump (of Belden) was taken into custody by the Tupelo Police Department and charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set Crump’s bond at $5,000. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
