On Saturday, August 12, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash at the intersection of Highway 550 and Dunn Ratcliff Road in Lincoln County.
A 2012 GMC Sierra driven by 80-year-old Jerry Calcote, of Wesson, traveled east on Highway 550 when it collided with a 1985 Honda Motorcycle driven by 50-year-old Michael W Falvey, of Wesson traveling west on Highway 550.
Michael W Falvey received life-threatening injuries from this crash and was transported to King’s Daughters Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
