The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash on Highway 63 in George County late Friday night.
The incident happened around 9:50 p.m. and involved a 2011 Kia Forte driven by 20-year-old Diana Givens and her passenger, 20-year-old Destiny Givens, both from Lucedale.
The Kia was traveling southbound on Highway 63 when it collided with a 2017 Nissan Altima heading northbound, driven by 21-year-old Kaniya Carey of Pascagoula, MS.
Destiny Givens suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Diana Givens and Kaniya Carey were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
