Jackson police department says they’re looking into a death investigation on Highway 80 at Battlefield Park.
The victim is a black male in his late 40s or early 50s, police said, and it appears that he had been at that location since late Tuesday night.
Both WLBT’s Tracey James and Save JXN’s Clay Edwards first reported police on the scene of a body found in Battlefield Park this morning.
Edwards said he saw the first two police cars pull up as he drove by this morning, and James’ video also shows the coroner’s van on scene.
