WLOX reports that the Ocean Springs Police Department is investigating after a person was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday.
Ocean Springs Police Department responded to a call at 8:16 p.m. about a person who had been hit by a car in the westbound lanes of Bienville Boulevard near Carolyn Road.
When officers arrived, they found a female lying face down partially in the road.
Officers and first responders attempted to render aid to the victim but she had no pulse. Two vehicles that were involved had pulled over on the right side of the road.
WLOX reports that the woman was identified as 49-year-old Julie Trosclair of Ocean Springs. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Officials told WLOX that no foul play is suspected, but the accident is still under investigation.
