A woman is in ICU after being shot by one of three assailants on Halls Ferry Road, the Vicksburg Daily News reports.

Vicksburg Police Department was alerted to a shooting in the 2500 block of Halls Ferry Road just after midnight on Tuesday.

According to Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones, four females were involved in a fight where three were assaulting one.

The female being assaulted was shot in the stomach by one of the assailants. She was transported to University hospital and is currently in ICU.

Jones stated that two suspects have been arrested and another is waiting to be identified.
