You’re looking at this thinking it’s a joke, I know.
It’s not, though.
One of the really fun things about partnering with Digio Strategies is that someone at Blue Bell sometimes sends us the new ice cream flavors to try and talk about, and I happened to be lucky enough to get my hands on their latest, Chocolate Brownie Truffle. I asked on Facebook if y’all wanted to know about it and you did, so as promised, I took one for the team and ate a whole little bucket of it.

So let’s get down to it. This ice cream is not for the faint of heart. There are four forms of chocolate in there.
“This one is for our chocolate fans,” said Joe Robertson, executive director of advertising and marketing. “Chocolate Brownie Truffle is rich with flavor. We have combined our Milk Chocolate ice cream with chunks of delicious brownies and decadent truffles. And we added a smooth chocolate icing swirl for even more chocolate flavor. Our new Chocolate Brownie Truffle is the perfect ice cream to start the fall season.”
Mr. Robertson, since it is your job to promote your product, I’d like to analyze your statement based on my own eyewitness experiences, since it is my job to make sure everything I say is true and objective.
This delicacy is definitely for the chocolate fans. I’m one of those people who likes chocolate, but I’m not a raging chocolate fiend and can be bored by too much chocolate without some kind of pretzel or peanut butter or something else in there. This ice cream is perfect because if I were a raging chocolate fiend, I’d be happy as a lark, but even though I’m not, it was still so good that I didn’t feel like it was overkill.
So yes, it’s rich with flavor. It’s a lot of chocolate, and it’s for sure going to stave off that craving or be the hero of a late night of post-breakup Lifetime movies and snacks.
The brownies were delicious, so that part is accurate. I didn’t really experience the icing swirl, and that may just be because I was having chocolate overload and it blended in.
But the unexpected surprise was THE TRUFFLES. Y’all, if I was eating a bathtub full of this stuff and got too full to go on, I would still dig through what was left like a kid with a cereal box toy looking for the truffles. THEY are the reason I am raving about Chocolate Brownie Truffle. They’re crunchy and delicious and totally an awesome surprise after a few bites with just ice cream and brownies.
So, to all you raging chocolate fiends, get to your grocery store with a quickness and try this out. I’m interested in your opinion. To the rest of you, same instructions (I just wanted to say “raging chocolate fiend” again).
