Do you remember Tobiah, the dog that was found starving on the end of a chain in Jackson?
CARA posted an update that made us smile and we just had to share it!
Three weeks ago today, he was removed from his life on a chain, and real life began for him.
During those three weeks, Tobiah gained over 10 pounds. The shelter said that he has learned so much about life and people. He is showing that he’s smart and he is eager to learn.
“He has certainly learned what love feels like and he shows us every day how much love he has to give. He has no idea that he’s not a 10lb dog, a lap is his favorite place to be. Tobiah is even housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go potty. He has so much to say, and tells us all about it every day. Tobiah harbors no ill feelings towards anyone, and he never meets a stranger. He is that dog who is happy to be alive every, single day… that dog who never lets us forget why we do what we do, and makes sure we feel his gratitude and deep love for us, especially on those days when we feel defeated. He makes every day brighter.”
The shelter said that Tobiah is planning to attend the 2023 Dog Days of Summer event.
“He’s already picked out his lei and made sure it fits. Look for our boy and be sure to give him a little extra love that day!“
