Arrest made connected to two Kemper County shootings Monday

Arrest in Neshoba County connected to two shootings Monday in Kemper County.

UPDATE: Suspect taken into custody in Quitman, possibly tied to the shooting on Kemper County.

Be on the look out for two white cars in Kemper County on Hwy 45 north traveling south bound. One person has been shot at the Shell station in Scooba located in Kemper county. Another car has been hit with gunfire.

Police say the two cars approached a motorist, and one pulled ahead of the car, cutting them off, while the other pulled up beside the motorist and fired shots. There have been two known shootings this morning. The extent of the injuries in Scooba is not known at this time.

The two white cars were last seen travailing south on 45 North toward Lauderdale County. Dial 911 immediately if you come in contact with these individuals. MBI is in route to Scooba now.

Police say one of the vehicles is a newer White Toyota Camry with blacked-out tinted windows and a black wing on the rear of the car. They are considered armed and dangerous. If you see them, don’t approach them, call 911. So far there is no description on the second white car.
