According to Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones, deputies responded to a shooting in the Kroger parking lot on I-55 north Sunday night.
Two people were shot and transported to UMMC for medical treatment.
Sheriff Jones said that the suspect is described as a black male who left on foot and is possibly in a dark SUV.
This investigation is ongoing.
