On November 16, Tupelo police responded to the 300 block of Maynard Drive in reference to a residential burglary.
It was determined that two possible suspects were already in custody.
Before this incident was reported, Tupelo police officers tried to stop a dark-colored passenger car on Cliff Gookin Blvd.
The vehicle ran from officers and then stopped around S. Green Street where a foot chase ensued.
Officers caught the two men running, 26-year-old Damarcus Williams (from Shannon) and 18-year-old LaMarco Tate (from Shuqualak). Officers found stolen items in their car.
On November 17, Tate and Williams were both charged with burglary of a dwelling and possession of burglary tools.
Bond was denied for both suspects and additional charges are possible.
