One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Rankin County on Sunday.

According to MHP, at approximately 11:50 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 20 East near Exit 54 in Rankin County.

A 2019 Dodge Ram driven by 36-year-old Marcal Collins of Quitman, MS traveling westbound in the eastbound lane, collided with a 2010 Honda driven by 59-year-old Ty Oneal of Pennington, AL.

The driver of the Dodge received no injuries. The driver of the Honda was taken to the local hospital with unknown injuries.

The passenger of the Honda, 85-year-old Hattie Oneal of Brooksville, received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
