According to WLOX, two juveniles are in custody following a shooting incident in Gautier on Wednesday morning.
Around 9 a.m., a 911 caller reported being shot at by someone in another vehicle. Officers later stopped the suspect car at the end of Ferry Point Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The two juveniles, both from Vancleave, were apprehended. One has been charged as an adult with aggravated assault and transported to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center. The other is being held at the Jackson County Youth Court Detention Center for accessory to aggravated assault.
Police also recovered a vehicle and firearms in the juveniles’ possession, which had been reported stolen the previous night in Vancleave. Gautier Police Department is working with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department on the investigation, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
