Narcotics investigators from the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men during a drug bust at Da Tire Shop on Jackson Landing Road.
27-year-old Zacherie Jordan, and the shop’s owner, 62-year-old Phillip Dusset were taken into custody after investigators saw Jordan smoking a marijuana cigarette outside the shop.
Jordan, who had an outstanding indictment for trafficking a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, attempted to conceal the marijuana when officers approached. A search of Jordan revealed a distribution quantity of marijuana.
During a consent search of the tire shop, Dusset was caught trying to hide evidence. Investigators discovered more marijuana and digital scales inside the shop, leading to charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and tampering with physical evidence for both men.
Both suspects face enhanced charges due to the shop’s proximity to a church. Authorities praised the community for reporting suspected drug activity and encouraged residents to continue to report suspicious behavior to law enforcement.
