Tuesday morning February 28, at approximately 09:53 am. McComb Police Officers responded to Southgate Apartment in reference to shots fired.
Once officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot.
The victims were transported to Southwest Regional Medical Center Emergency Room by a privately owned vehicle and Law Enforcement with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two individuals (identified as D’Angelo Givens of Baton Rouge, LA, and Charles Willis Thompson of Columbia, MS.) were stopped by McComb Police officers shortly after the incident happen, in a vehicle described to have been leaving the scene of the shooting at a high rate of speed.
Officers found that one of the two occupants had received a gunshot wound and was transported to SWRMC.
Both D’Angelo Givens and Charles Willis Thompson have been charged with Aggravated Assault and shooting into a dwelling.
This is still an ongoing investigation and more charges are possible at a later date.
