According to WLOX, two teenagers were arrested and charged with business burglary.
Just after midnight, on Tuesday September 5, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old broke into a business.
Gulfport police told WLOX that the teenagers broke into a business in the 9200 block of Hwy 49. Police said they broke the glass on the front door and stole cash from the register.
Police identified the suspects as 19-year-old Darius Deshaun Pettway and a 17-year-old teenager. They were both charged with one count of Burglary of a Business.
WLOX reports that Pettway admitted to the break-in and wrote an apology letter for the victim.
He is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
The juvenile is at the Harrison County Youth Detention Center, and the child’s parent was charged with child neglect.
