On the night of March 12, at around 11:21 p.m., the Claiborne County sheriff’s office was alerted to a shooting incident on Evergreen St. in the northside area.
When deputies arrived, they identified two individuals who were deemed persons of interest in the case.
Following a thorough investigation, charges were filed against Edtayvion Farmer and Percy Truitt.
Edtayvion Farmer was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, while Percy Truitt faced charges of three counts of aggravated assault, drive-by shooting, and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Both suspects underwent their initial court appearances, and a bond of $250,000.00 was set for Percy Truitt and 150,000.00 for Edtayvion Farmer.
