Tupelo Police Stop Vehicle On Tint Violation, Discover Felony Amounts Of Drugs In Vehicle

Tupelo police stopped a man for a tint violation and ended up finding a felony amount of marijuana and fentanyl tablets in his car.
On August 16, Tupelo police were patrolling the area of Cliff Gookin Blvd and Lawndale Street. While in the area they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a tint violation.
During the course of the stop, the driver, 25-year-old Emmanuel Coleman, (from Tupelo) was found to be in possession of Felony amounts of both Marijuana and Fentanyl Tablets.
At the time of his arrest Mr. Coleman, a convicted felon, was found to be in possession of a handgun.
Coleman was charged with Trafficking of Fentanyl, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Firearm by convicted felon.
Lee County Justice Court Judge Chuck Hopkins set Mr. Coleman’s bond at $100,000.
