A freeze is expected across parts of the forecast area early this morning and again tonight. With the local growing season having already started across the region, significant damage is possible to unprotected sensitive vegetation mainly north of Interstate 20 and east of Interstate 55. Farther south and west, frost could damage unprotected vegetation. Additional frost or freeze conditions may develop again this weekend. Stay tuned for updates this week.
