The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking into a wreck between one of their own troopers and a Madison County school bus.

On Tuesday around 4:35 p.m., the trooper was northbound on Highway 51 near Bill Pressley Rd. en route to a crash south of Pickens when it and a westbound Madison County School Bus collided.

After colliding with the school bus, the trooper lost control and overturned onto the southbound shoulder. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash.

The trooper, bus driver, and bus monitor were transported to UMMC in Jackson with unknown injuries.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
