WLBT reported that Capitol police arrested three juveniles in the case of the delivery driver who was shot to death in the Belhaven neighborhood.

The three suspects were arrested Friday and they are being questioned now. A motive is still unknown.

Capitol Police Chief Bo Luckey told WLBT,

“My team has been working pretty tirelessly ever since the incident to try to find out who was involved and why,” he said. “These senseless acts of violence, they’re not going to be tolerated in the CCID. and we’re going to put as much manpower on it as we can to make sure that we are able to investigate these to the best of our ability and come to a resolution and bring people to justice.”

Chief Luckey said that the suspects were arrested around Sunset Drive. Capitol Police officers tried to initiate a traffic stop and the vehicle fled.

They arrested three black male juveniles after a short chase. Chief Luckey said they believe these three individuals are also suspects in another shooting that happened Wednesday.

According to police, the names of the individuals are not being released yet, but it is likely they will be charged as adults.

The victim in the deadly shooting in the Belhaven neighborhood has been identified as 39-year-old Cory Price.

Police believe these same three suspects are responsible for a shooting that happened Sunday around Taylor Street. The victim in this incident was shot in the leg.

Police Chief Luckey said that Belhaven neighbors and residents were very helpful and so many called in tips and offered information if they knew any.
