A teenager named Addie Carver from Monticello made Mississippi proud and was crowned Miss Teen USA.
Carver was crowned Thursday night on Meridian’s CW.
According to www.pagaent.info, Addie Carver is a native of Brookhaven.
She will now represent Mississippi in the Miss Teen USA 2024 pageant.
Addie loves to dance and has trained in many different styles. She is a student teacher and works with kids ages 3-16.
Not only does she love dancing and teaching, but she started a nonprofit organization called Dance to Empower.
Addie talked about how she lost her dad when she was 13 years old and how dance really helped her deal with this loss. She wants to help others find a passion that helps them cope with life when it gets hard.
Addie Carver is the second Miss Teen USA to come from the great state of Mississippi!
