
The Town of Byhalia was hit by a string of robberies on Tuesday.
According to the police department, multiple vehicles were broken into. The suspects bused the windows of each vehicle.
The individuals are targeting SUVs and pick-up trucks.
Police identified a a black 2009-2014 model Honda Accord occupied by at least 1 black male suspect who was involved in the breaking and entering of the vehicles. The vehicle was seen at Woods Construction located on Amy Ln at 12:45 p.m.
The other businesses hit were: WESCO on Hwy 178 and Mid-South Erosion on Church St. At least 3 firearms were stolen from inside the trucks.
A photo was sent in to police via the internet showing a vehicle believed to be the same one scanning the parking lot of a business in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, just across the bridge from Lula on September 6.
Police believe the vehicle was also involved in similar acts in Olive Branch and Holly Springs. They say it is possible the car has paper tags.
The Byhalia Police Department said they will increase patrol around the clock to prevent future incidents.
