The biggest thing that keeps your local fire department rolling to house fires, wrecks, and medical calls is the support of the community they serve.

This week a local business stepped up to help a Rankin County fire department keep doing the work they do to protect their district.

Revell Ace Hardware made a generous donation to Langford Volunteer Fire Department of a Dewalt XR Reciprocating Saw, battery, charger, and blades. These tools are essential for rescue and vehicle extrication. It was delivered Tuesday afternoon by Paxton Rooks and accepted by Medical Officer Matt Burkhalter.

Langford’s district runs along Highway 471 between Brandon and Flowood.
