At 7:34 a.m. on March 17, Southwest Rankin was paged out to a head-on collision on Brown Hill Road in Rankin County.
When the fire department arrived, units discovered one car occupied by 1 adult patient with life-threatening injuries and 1 stable pediatric patient who was entrapped in the vehicle.
A pickup truck was also involved in the crash. The driver of the truck was out of the vehicle and stable.
Southwest requested additional assistance and began an extensive extrication.
Once all patients were free, three patients were all transported to a hospital for additional care.
