Hattiesburg Police have arrested a second individual in connection to the July 28, shooting at the Hop-In on West 7th Street.
On Monday, August 12, 24-year-old Tarvez D. “Take Off” McCarty of Hattiesburg was arrested and charged with one count of Shooting into a Dwelling/Business and one count of Weapon Possession by a Convicted Felon.
McCarty is currently being held at the Forrest County Jail.
The initial incident occurred on July 28 at approximately 3 a.m., when officers heard gunshots while conducting a security check nearby.
A male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The first suspect, 24-year-old Levi Myers, was arrested at the scene.
