The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation at the Raymond Detention Center.
Brandon Flowers, 32, was found unresponsive and hanging in his cell by officers at 11:10 a.m. Sunday. According to Sheriff Tyree Jones, the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is on scene and will take over the case.
Flowers had been held at the Raymond Detention Center since June 9, 2021 for the charge of Capital Murder stemming from the 2019 JPD investigation into the death of Antonio Lovaglio, 55, and a hold by Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Authorities say there is no foul play suspected at this time.
