Prentiss County Deputies Arrest Elusive Fugitive, Along With His Mother And Girlfriend

Early Thursday morning before daylight, Prentiss County Deputies, Investigators and Agents with North Mississippi Narcotics executed an early morning raid on a Prentiss County home on CR 3450 in search of an elusive fugitive that Prentiss County Authorities have been searching for several weeks to capture.

32-year-old Charles Evan Kennedy of Booneville had initially been wanted on indictments for Felony Fleeing.

Officers had attempted to arrest him several times and he either fled on foot or in another incident fled in an automobile when officers spotted him at a Burton Convenience Store.

After a chase, he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and fled on foot into the woods. Deputies have been aggressively searching for him since.

He is facing additional felony charges stemming from the incident since the manhunt began, which include Felony Fleeing and Aggravated Domestic Violence.

During the raid this morning Charles Kennedy was found hiding under a bed in his mother’s house. 55-year-old Jennifer Ann Kennedy was also arrested and charged with Obstruction, Hindering Prosecution.

Charles Kennedy is being held without bond.

Bond has not been set for his mother yet.

Charles Kennedy’s girlfriend 36-year-old Jessica Mary Ann Borden of Booneville was arrested July 6th after the pursuit involving Kennedy and charged with Hindering Prosecution; Rendering Criminal assistance with her bond set at $20,000.

She bonded out on that charge and was later arrested for a second offense for the same charge with a bond set at $25,000.

She remains in custody.
