On February 28th, Investigators Jason Chism and Torie Jumper were contacted by Guntown Police Department along with Baldwyn Police Department in regards to a search warrant being conducted on County Road 5040 in Prentiss County.
The search warrant was related to the burglary of a commercial building in Lee County. According to police, several mini storage buildings had been broken into.
58-year-old Mark Mills, 55-year-old Paula Mills, and 45-year-old Joseph Robert David Hatfield, all from Booneville were charged with Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The missing items were recovered and collected by the Guntown and Baldwyn Police Departments.
The bond was set at $25,000 for Paula Mills. Mark Mills was remanded back to MDOC custody. Joseph Robert David Hatfield’s bond was set at $20,000.
51-year-old Howard Clinton Adams of Booneville was also present at the home during the search warrant.
He had an outstanding felony warrant and was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $20,000.
All cases will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury by Investigator Jason Chism and NMNU Grady Smith.
