The Pontotoc Fire Department received a delivery of smoke alarms Monday from the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The men in the picture are Deputy Chief Brad White and Fire Safety Education Officer Jeremy Maxey.
Maxey delivered the alarms on behalf of the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The smoke alarms are a result of a Fire Prevention and Safety Grant provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to the Mississippi State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Alarms are being delivered to fire departments around the state and each department is responsible for distributing and installing them in their community.
