According to Picayune Item news, a woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a juvenile.
Police said that the woman reported a vehicle burglary, then was arrested for stabbing a juvenile who was allegedly involved in the vehicle burglary.
The Picayune Police Department said that the incident happened October 1, at 7:32 p.m. when officers were called to North Beech Street in reference to a stabbing.
When police arrived, they found a 13-year-old bleeding heavily from wounds to his left arm. He was transported to Highland Community Hospital by ambulance.
While police were investigating the stabbing, they were called to Elmwood Street in reference to an attempted vehicle burglary.
The person who called, 32-year-old Keiora Myers, gave a description of the suspect as the 13-year-old juvenile who had just been stabbed.
Police investigated the incident and ended up arresting Myers for aggravated assault. The vehicle burglary is still under investigation.

Picayune Item said that as of Monday, the victim was in stable condition with more surgeries expected.
