On June 27, at about 10:00 p.m. an unknown male entered the Picayune Wal-Mart.
The suspect then filled a shopping cart and would later exit from the garden center area through a fire escape door that he disabled by removing the battery pack.
The suspect got into a Chrysler minivan that had no tag and left the premises with the property.
Over the next 7 hours, the suspect came back to Walmart wearing a vest similar to an employee’s and entered through the same door he disabled earlier.
The business was closed at this time, but occupied by employees tasked with stocking the shelves.
He then loaded several shopping carts took them to the van, left the property for approximately 1 hour and then returned to the business again to steal.

On his final trip, he stole two kayaks from the garden center.
Through the investigation, officers learned that the suspect had previously done the same thing at the Northshore Blvd Wal-Mart in Slidell LA. They have not filed a report on this incident which occurred on June 10th. The van is missing a drivers front tire center cap and has what appears to be a LA inspection sticker.
