Pearl Police received several 911 calls before 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning, concerning a robbery in progress at the Wendy’s on South Pearson Road.
Employees reported that a masked man armed with a gun had robbed the restaurant and taken cash from the safe.
Detectives gathered video surveillance, and identified Deseonte Raysheun McBride, 27, of Jackson as the suspect. He was captured a short time later, according to authorities.
McBride is charged with armed robbery. He is being held at the Rankin County Detention Center.
