On August 11, officers with the Oxford Police Department apprehended 42-year-old Freddie Lee Holmes, of Oxford, in the 400 block of US 278 West. Holmes was initially arrested on an outstanding warrant from another department.
Shortly after his arrest, investigators informed officers that Holmes was a person of interest in a felony incident that had occurred the previous day.
As a result, Holmes was charged with Accessory After the Fact. His bond will be determined by a Municipal Court Judge.
The case remains under active investigation, and authorities expect to make additional arrests as they continue to uncover more details.
