On August 17, members of the Oxford Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and Lafayette County Metro Narcotics arrested 32-year-old Tyson Hairston of Columbus.
Police went to the Links Apartments after an investigation that stemmed from a phone call earlier in the morning of August 17th.
When officers arrived, they found narcotics, two weapons, and over $6000 cash.
Hairston was arrested and charged with one count of kidnapping, two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and three counts of possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Hairston was taken before a judge and given a bond of $100,000 with a hold for MDOC. This is an ongoing investigation.
